Believe Japan got Karma? Expect some Soon

Oddly enough it took this topic to break my blog silence, haven’t had the time to post and frankly wanted to write about more than Boxxy… To my fans that come here for that, I’m sorry I haven’t written about her Return, I just feel it’s a done topic, she’s apparently started making video’s again for those that wanna know, YouTube is your Friend.. Thank you to all my visitors for their nice comments and support, I apologize for the lack of updating.

Now onto bigger and more important things…

It more than appalls me that some people legitimately believe that the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan are Karma for Pearl Harbor, that it is god’s way of getting justice for America. How much of an inflated Ego do you need to believe such rubbish.

If you honestly think Japan deserves this because of something that happened over 60 years ago, then take everything in your house that was made in Japan, and get rid of it, Because you Sir, are a hypocrite. This includes your iPhone and most household items by the way..

I know I am not alone on this opinion as I spotted this website today:  http://karmajapan.tumblr.com I applaud the maker of this blog, it is wrong that so many people feel this way… if something that devastating had happened in America the nation would be heartbroken. Saying thing’s like “Oh they are over-populated, they’ll replace them in a week” is completely racist. It’s 2011 People, time to catch up. What if it was your loved one being swept away without control only to die after fighting for their life?

If the disaster in Japan should teach us anything, it’s that we should be appreciating what we have, while we have it.. Life may not be perfect, but it is the only life we have. Enjoy it, Embrace it, Live it.. Not everyone has that luxury.

FYI: http://ignorantandonline.tumblr.com/ is also of interest as it showcases examples of people stating their opinions, ignorantly. Starting with the Japan issue.

Peace and Love Interwebz ❤

Great post, pursuing randomness. I do agree with you that some people will have the cheek to say that Japan’s quake/tsunami double tragedy is karma and all that nonsense (just leave me shaking my head and feeling appalled at how can people think that way). This has nothing to do with karma and God doing justice. Those sort of people saying this are just being mean-spirited and insensitive. Last but not least, you are not the only person feeling concerned about the issue of insensitive and mean people saying mean things on Japan’s latest tragedy. Anyway, my thoughts are with Japan right now and I want to say this: stay strong Japan.

everyone, maybe things happen because of what they deserve, please learn from history, learn from “rape of nanking”, japan attrocities, japan whale killings, japan dolphin killings, japan sex slaves, bataan death march, pearl harbor, japan sexual harassment in office, japan pornography, and many more

I, too, was very interested in these sites once I was directed to them from a Boing Boing article. While public shaming makes me feel uncomfortable, I do believe sites such as these play an important part in helping individuals realise their public actions potentially have major consequences on their presence of identity – both immediately and in the distant future.

Anyway, I found your blog post when I discovered today that the karmajapan tumblr is currently down. It’s a long-shot, but you wouldn’t happen to know what happened with it, do you? The last posts I saw would have been from late last week, mentioning that a few people asked for their articles to be removed and that the site creator has been receiving a bit of hate mail from those who didn’t understand the site and believed they were condoning the hateful comments.

Perhaps it was receiving too much traffic and became overwhelming for one person to handle. Perhaps someone pursued a legal takedown (unlikely) of some sort – or at least threatened one (possible).

While these sites are horribly depressing and highlight the worst parts of people, I think they have their place. As long as we don’t forget that our focus in times like this should be on helping the community in need.

We just have to make our voice of support louder to compensate!
